New Open-access Data Resource Aims to Bolster Collaboration in Global Infectious Disease Research.
The website presents data from the Program for Resistance, Immunology, Surveillance and modelling of Malaria (PRISM) led by Grant Dorsey, Psrofessor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco and Professor Moses Kamya, Professor and Dean, school of medicine, Makerere University College of Health Sciences, Kampala Uganda. PRISM is one of the several International Centres of Excellence for Malaria research funded by NIH and presents 1400 participants from 331 households from three regions in Uganda (Jinja, Kanungu and Tororo) with more than 44000 clinical observations. It introduces a web based interface that allows users to explore data using point and click filtering, simple queries, more complex search strategies and a suit of shinny analysis tools that allows for further exploration of the data.
