USAID Mission Director was hosted by the IDRC at their Presidential Malaria Initiative (PMI) Uganda Housing Modification Study field coordination office in Buwenge, Jinja District.
Mr. Richard Nelson, the USAID/Uganda Mission Director, visited the PMI Uganda Housing Modification Study (HMS) site in Buwenge sub-county and at Kakaire Health Centre Ill, in Jinja District today. Mr. Nelson was accompanied by Dr. Kassahun Belay, the PMI/USAID Resident Advisor and Dr. Mame Niang PMI/CDC Resident Advisor.
The IDRC team led by Prof. Moses Kamya, the Executive Director and Ms, Catherine Tugaineyo, the Finance and Administration Director along with Dr. Denis Rubahika, Deputy Program Manager, Malaria Control Division from the Uganda Ministry of Health, were the hosts of the event.
The Infectious Diseases Research Collaboration (IDRC), a local Ugandan organization, is leading the study in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), with funding from the American people.
